Homeland Security Capital Corporation (OTCBB: HOMS) is a company engaged in the development and consolidation of businesses in the real estate services industry. The Company is focused on creating long-term value by taking controlling interest, developing and integrating subsidiary companies; providing cross-selling opportunities and operating efficiencies through a centralized fulfillment model. The company targets emerging companies that compliment its product offerings and generate revenues but face challenges in scaling their businesses.

Homeland Security Capital Corporation was incorporated in Delaware in August 1997 under the name "Celerity Systems, Inc." In 2005, the Company changed its business plan and operated as a provider of specialized technology-based radiological, nuclear, environmental, disaster relief and electronic security solutions to government and commercial customers. In July 2011, the Company expanded the scope of operations to include companies operating in the real estate services industry to capitalize on recent trends, including the growth of refinance transactions and Real Estate Owned (REO) inventory volume.

In July of 2011, the Company acquired a majority interest in Timios, Inc. a company providing national title and escrow services for mortgage origination refinance, reverse mortgages and deed-in-lieu transactions, and Default Services USA, Inc. a company providing real estate-owned liquidation services to institutional real estate owned, or REO, customers.

The company is headed by former Congressman C. Thomas McMillen, who served three consecutive terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from the 4th Congressional District of Maryland.
